Tropical Traditions- Organic Canadian Raw Honey CLOSED

I LOVE honey...... I mean love it. My grandfather used to keep bees, and I looooooved fresh honey. Anyone who has had honey straight from the hive knows it is NOT like the honey you buy from the store. Well, anyhow, Tropical Traditions' Canadian Raw Honey reminded me what honey can be like. This stuff is divine.

Okay, I couldn't even finish writing this review before I got some toast with Tropical Traditions Canadian Raw Honey on top. Seriously, I just went and made some. 

Anyhow, how about some information...

Tropical Traditions Canadian Raw Honey is organic. Yep, organic honey. Did you know that it is really hard to  certify honey as organic? No? Well, it is... since bees can fly to any flower they wish (in their natural 4 mile range) they can end up getting into a field that has been tainted by pesticides or other contaminants which then make their honey not organic.

From Tropical Traditions page:

"In order for honey to be certified organic, the beehives must be placed in isolated areas miles from the dense population, industry, traffic congestion, and farm fields treated with chemicals and landfills."

So, what makes it raw? Well, Tropical Traditions Canadian Raw Honey is not pasteurized, and never heat processed, only warmed enough to flow. It also has not been filtered, only screened, so it contains pollen still. It also still contains live yeast and enzymes. 

This honey really is the best "store-bought" honey I have ever had. It literally melts in your mouth and is the perfect sweet treat.  Only con... now I have to find a way to fund my new honey habit. ;)
