Nuby Medical Kit
I received the product mentioned in this post for the purpose of the review.
One valuable thing that every parent should have is a medical kit. The Nuby Medical Kit includes: Sure-Dose™ Medicine
Dropper, Medi•Nurser™, Nasal Aspirator with Ear Syringe, Medicine Spoon,
Nail Clippers and Digital Thermometer.
I find that these are all great items to have with me in our diaper bag as well as at home. The thermometer is one thing I find myself reaching for the most, but the nail clippers and the handy pacifier medicine dispenser is also very useful for those little babies!
You can find the Nuby Medical Kit on Amazon.com (free shipping with Prime, too!).
It's a great gift for any baby shower, or for your own diaper bag!

It's a Whale of a Job!
I received the item below for the purpose of this post. All opinions are my own!
Bath Toys bring lots of fun to an otherwise not-so-fun chore...but they can be a hassle, too. You want them to dry, but you want them contained. Well Nuby's Whale Pail Sea Scooper is just the fun, but useful, item you've been looking for.
The adhesive holder attaches easily to the wall, leaving no holes and no nails needed.
The fun design makes clean up time fun, which means less fuss about putting the fun toys away and getting out of the tub!
The Sea Scooper is large enough to scoop up plenty of toys. Pictured above, the Sea Scooper is holding two sets of Nuby's Bath Animal toys!
The holes in the body of the whale allow for water to drain from the toys.
For a fun game, you can use the Sea Scooper to scoop up a certain number of toys, certain colors of toys, or see how fast the toys can be scooped up. We've used all the techniques to make getting out of the tub more fun and less fuss.

Rub-a-dub-dub! Fun with Nuby in the Tub!
I received the item below for the purpose of this review. All opinions are my own.
Bath time is one of my children's favorite times. They just LOVE playing in the water. Nuby has some great bath toys, we recently tried out the Nuby Foam Bath Animals. The characters float in the water and when wet, will stick to the bathtub wall providing lots of bathtime fun!
Annabelle loves splashing around with these, and we play a matching game with them, too. There are 18 fun animals in each pack, so plenty of matches to be made! They are easy to rinse clean and dry great in the Sea Scooper!
The Bath Animals are available for purchase at diapers.com and on Amazon.

Nuby One Touch Bottle Warmer
You know, before this summer, I didn't realize how helpful a bottle warmer really could be. Then, I went camping. Now, a bottle warmer is on my camping must-pack list! Seriously, this is a genius idea. If you are camping and have access to electricity, you will want to bring the Nuby One Touch bottle warmer!
It is so much easier to prepare bottles while camping with this. I used to either use hot tap water from the bathroom who knows how far away, or I would heat up the bottle in a pan on the fire. Both options took forever, but thankfully the Nuby One Touch doesn't!
The 2-in-1 design of this Natural Touch™ Warmer and Sterilizer evenly and safely warms breast milk, formula and baby food. Or you can use it as a quick and easy-to-use sterilizer for bottles and pacifiers. It sterilizes in just minutes! Simply use measuring cup (included) to add water, load the sterilizer and touch the button to start.
It's very helpful around the house as well... baby drop his pacifier (again)? Did the dog try to take a taste?! Just pop it in the One Touch and within minutes it's sanitized!
There really isn't anything difficult about the Nuby One Touch bottle warmer, and I don't have any complaints about it. I love that it helps heat up breast milk for my husband- and he doesn't have to guess the temperature. He knows that the One Touch will heat it up to "just right".

Nuby Stretch Mark Cream
If you've been pregnant, you've probably been worried about stretch marks. Some times they are inevitable, a wonderful gift passed down from your family (thanks, genetics). I was one who was given plenty my first pregnancy. As a young mom, I was more self conscious than ever, and the stretch marks really did bother me. It bothered me even more that, even though I had been vigilant with coco butter being applied to my belly twice a day, every day, I still ended up with so many.
After talking with my doctor, he explained that stretch marks can't really be prevented... but creams can lessen them and lighten them. Keeping skin moisturized can help reduce the damage caused while stretching to accommodate your growing figure.
Nuby has a Stretch Mark Cream in their Natural Touch Skin Care Line.
Nûby’s Natural Touch™ skin care for mothers is specially formulated with you in mind. Our rich emollient butters, creams, and lotions are enriched with natural ingredients like vitamin E, cocoa butter and Lanolin.
I personally love that it is so thick. I've enjoyed using it so far this pregnancy, the thick cream feels like it is really covering my skin and helping to keep it moist and nourished. I am hoping that my stretch marks will not get any worse this pregnancy (they haven't really in the last few), and maybe even fade a bit with this cream.
You can purchase the Stretch Mark Cream at BuyBabyDirect, currently for $4.99 per tube.

@Nuby Step Up Stool
Step stools are nearly a necessity when you have a toddler. How else can they reach the sink, or reach that book on the bookshelf? We've purchased several step stools over the years, but they always break.
We were recently sent the Nuby Step Up Stool for review, and WOW. This stool holds up! In fact, it can hold up to 800 pounds!
The top is No-Slip, so little ones can be safe, even in the bathroom or kitchen. The legs also have No Slip padding, so there's no sliding across the room when leaning to turn on a faucet!
I love that the stool is large enough to make you feel secure on the stool, but still small enough to store.
You can buy the Step Up Stool at BuyBabyDirect currently for $12.99.
I received this product for the purpose of the review. All opinions are my own and I was not compensated for this post.

Nuby Bedlite Buddies
What's cute and cuddly, and makes one smile? Well, other than your baby, of course. It's Nuby's Bedlite Buddies!
We received two of these to review, and they are absolutely adorable, and most definitely huggable!
These Bedlite Buddies play a little tune and glow when your child (or you) hug them... giving them a soothing way to fall back to sleep, or seek some comfort.
Luke is entranced by his Bedlite Buddy, and it is one of the first things I grab when he's having a rough night. I know he will smile and giggle...and hug... his little friend. Annabelle (who is 2) loves her Bedlite Buddy as well!
Nuby Bedlite Buddies come in three adorable options, a bee, a turtle, and a frog and are available at Kmart stores, and online at Kmart.com with a current price of $13.99.
I received items for the purpose of my review. No monetary compensation has been received. All opinions are my own.

Nuby Digital Thermometers
If you have kids, you HAVE to have a thermometer. While fever is the immune system at work, you want to monitor your child's fever because the temperature of the fever can indicate different types of illnesses- and your doctor will ask you about fever when you bring in your sick child.
Fever is most dangerous if you have a newborn. Babies under three months old should not have a fever over 100.4 (rectally), and it should be considered an emergency if a baby under 1 month old has a fever (source: WebMD).
A digital thermometer is the best thermometer to use... older mercury thermometers post a serious risk to people and pets. I like that Nuby's Flex-Tip Digital Thermometer can be used orally, rectally, or axillary. I find that the flex-tip is most useful when taking an axillary temperature, since non-flex tips tend to poke and bother children. The flex tip allows some movement from the child while maintaining contact and getting the temperature reading.
The Nuby thermometer alerts you with several successive beeps if you or your little one have a fever. It takes about a minute to a minute and a half for a reading....much better than the time you'd have to wait for a mercury thermometer! The digital display is large enough to read easily as well.
The ONE thing I really don't like about this thermometer is the fact that it is in Celsius. I am not very familiar with Celsius and much prefer Fahrenheit readings. I was hoping this could be changed, but there is no information on how to do it (if it is even possible) in the instructions.
Beside that, the thermometer has worked great for us!

Perfect cups for little hands!
Once the transition has been made from the bottle to the sippy cup, you then get to transition your child to a regular cup. I usually just purchased plastic tumblers for my kids, but I have found they are rather large for my little ones' hands.
Nuby's Fun Drinking Cups are the perfect size for little one's hands!
These cups are brightly colored and have fun designs on them. They are also VERY easy to clean! I love that I can easily fit my hand in them to clean them.
I've also been impressed with how well these cups have held up. I haven't had any crack, and none of the color has faded.
These cups come in a two pack and are recommended for children 18 months and older.
I received these cups for the purpose of this review. All opinions are my own and no monetary compensation was received.

Picking a baby bottle...

One of the many things I've learned after having several children is that they are all different. That fact still rings true when it comes to a baby and his/her bottle. I don't think there is one best baby bottle...but there are definitely some good ones- and sometimes it takes a bit of trial and error to find that bottle that is the best for your baby.
Luke was born early... he was fed by an NG tube, and really didn't have a chance to suckle until almost a week after he was born. Even when he did have the chance we found that he was just too weak. So, since he's been home he's been using hospital bottles. We've tried a couple different brands, but none of them seemed to work for him.
We recently received the 8oz Nuby Wide Neck Non-Drip bottle to try. Luke actually takes to this bottle, but it takes him a long time to drink all his milk. The nipple is a variable flow nipple so the baby can control the flow... I guess Luke decided he wanted to go nice and slow! I'm just glad we have a bottle that he will use.
My favorite feature of this bottle is the "grow with me" feature. The bottle comes with (removable) handles, and a sippy spout! The bottle is meant for babies 3 months old and older. This will be perfect for transitions! Luke will be able to hold his own bottle with the handles, and then transition into a sippy cup.
The bottle is BPA free and be purchased at BuyBabyDirect.com.

Nuby Flip Flop Teether Book!

The Nuby Flip Flop Teether Book has fun filled pages that crinkle with baby's touch. A simple story on chunky pages that are easy for baby to flip, all in a fun shape.
With this book there are so many things for baby to explore. It's easy to hold and grasp for babies...and fun for any baby right from birth!
We especially loved the bright colors and great patterns. Nuby is great at getting baby's attention with their bright designs.
Luke especially loved holding on to the ring on the front of the book- but he also was attentive when I read the story to him. And, there is a fun squeeker to get baby's attention...and of course, great textured teether "feet".
You can purchase the Flip Flop teether book at BuyBabyDirect, currently offered at $11.99
I received a Flip Flop Teether book at no charge to facilitate this review. No monetary compensation was received and all opinions are my own.

Nuby No-Spill Insulated Cool Sipper cups!
No-Spill. What does that mean to me? Less work. You probably know exactly what I'm talking about if you've ever tried to eat with a toddler. Meal time comes...you serve a nice cup of milk with the food only to have it on the floor two nano-seconds later. *ugh*
You have probably also tried another "leak proof" cup as well....only to find that somehow that kiddo can make the impossible happen. So, is this No-Spill Insulated Cool Sipper cup any different...? Yes. Yes. it. is.
This cup's magic is all in the lid. The silicone spout covers the whole underneath of the lid. One solid piece means that there isn't a way for the liquid to escape unintentionally without force. I have been amazed with these cups, simply amazed.
The cup is meant for children 15 months plus. I let my almost two year old daughter and three year old son use these cups. They usually find a way to make their sippy cups pointless (usually by finding something to jam into the spout and make it leak/pour out). The Nuby No-Spill Insulated Cool Sipper hasn't been successfully tampered with yet!
There are plenty of cute deigns to choose from as well. We received this design:

It's a good gender neutral design so both our kiddos can use it. I also really like that each cup has a "This cup belongs to:" area where you can write in your child's name. This is great for daycare or when you are out and may loose it (or forget it at a playdate).
I give Annabelle and Nolyn a cup (of ice water) during rest time in the afternoon, especially in the hot summer when it's often much warmer upstairs than it is downstairs.
I love that I can trust the Nuby No-Spill Insulated Cool Sipper to do it's job. It helps rest time be much easier than when the kids come downstairs a million times for a drink before finally napping.
The only con to this cup that I have found is that it is a little difficult to clean the spout part. It's slotted, and can be a challenge to get clean. I've found the easiest way to clean it is to soak in hot water and use a q-tip if needed. Overall, it's a great cup and I would recommend it to anyone with a toddler!
I received the Nuby cups free of charge so that I could use them to make this review possible. I received no monetary compensation and all opinions are my own.

Nuby Teething Blankie gets lots of smiles!

So, most babies aren't teething at 2 months, but I have found that Little Luke loves the Nuby Teething Blankie already!
Of course, he'll be getting plenty of use out of it in the next few months as well, once he starts teething.
I like the Nuby Teething Blankie because of the fun patterns, bright colors, teething corners and plush animal in the middle. And, you can toss it in the wash when it needs it!
Luke likes the bright colors and patterns too...
and his older brother loves showing him them.
The Nuby Teething Blankie features crinkle noise and squeaky noise when the plush animal head is squeezed so it's a great sensory toy.
It's a great value, currently priced at $5.88 from walmart.com

Nuby Teether Tugz!

Teething is a difficult time for baby, so teethers can be super helpful...but when they are even more than "just a teether" it's even better. Nuby's Teether Tugz are a super bright, fun, toy and teether in one.

The Teether Tugz has a lot of different colors, textures, and patterns to entertain small babies, fun ears (or wings) that can be tugged through to make funny looking characters, and soft teething areas on the end of the ears/wings.

The Teether Tugz are appropriate for children 0+ months...definitely a good investment. Luke, 2 months old currently, enjoys looking at the bright colors and patterns. As he gets older he will discover the different textures of the cloth and chew on the teethers. Annabelle, our almost two year old, really enjoys playing with the "Tugz" part of the Teether Tugz. This toy definitely has the ability to grow with the child, and that is something I really like in a toy.
Teether Tugz can be purchased at BuyBabyDirect.com
I received the Teether Tugz at no charge to facilitate this review. No monetary compensation was received and all opinions are my own.

How to wash your child's hair....
For years we've used a cup to rinse shampoo out of our kids' hair. For years we've dealt with our children screaming that they don't like it. We've tried washcloths, we've tried using our hands, we've tried "the dunk", all of it has been fairly ineffective.
Well, Nuby has a tool for parents like us to use. It's the Tear-Free Rinse Pail.
Ah yes.... see that "lip" that is different colored? Well, it's a soft edge that conforms to your child's forehead allowing you to pour water over just the child's hair. Genius, right?
I was very excited to try this. I currently have 2 children who are in the stage of hating their hair being washed, so I was hoping for great things. The first try wasn't as successful as I had hoped, honestly. Mostly it was fear...the kids wouldn't stay still. They expected water pouring over their face when I held up the Rinse Pail. It took a good few tries for them to realize that if they were calm and let me do it, it would be better. Once they understood that things went much more smoothly!
Even when I'm not using the Tear Free Rinse Pail for rinsing hair it is still useful for rinsing off with! And, kids LOVE playing with it, too!
I would definitely recommend using this right from the get-go if you can! Even if your child doesn't currently have an issue with their hair being washed.... they may at some point.
The Tear Free Rinse Pail is available from Buy Baby Direct currently for $5.99.
