B. Lively- Jungle Jam!

B. Lively... ahh what fun that can be! The Jungle Jam fits right in with the B. Lively theme... you can't help but to be lively when playing with the Jungle Jam, and neither can your audience!

Want a toy that will bring the family together? Well, that is what Jungle Jam did with our family! I love to have time together where all of us can do the same thing, and have it be fun. Nearly always there is at least one disagreeable person in our bunch who'd rather be doing something else.

We received the B. toys shortly after Raymond's surgery... so he was stuck in bed most of the day, every day. This meant there wasn't a whole lot of things he could do. Well, we decided to make our bedroom a great place for band practice. One of the kids would end up in the room, and playing with one of the instruments and one by one all the rest of the kids came in to find an instrument of their own. RJ made it his job to be the conductor!

I really wish I could have gotten a picture of one of our Jam sessions...but I was too busy being a part of it! This is a picture of RJ using the Jungle Jam as a drum when we first opened it.

The Jungle Jam includes several instruments. There is the drum, then the top of the drum turns into a tambourine when you take it off.  Inside the drum you will find two snake drumsticks, an crocodile and a hand drum that add some rhythm to your band, two whistles (I personally love the antelope slide whistle), and two fun giraffe maracas.

I love all our B. toys, but the Jungle Jam is definitely one of my favorites (and included in the Prize Pack)! Not only could the whole family use the Jungle Jam, we really had fun doing so!

I do want to point out that one of the whistles included in this is a water whistle. We didn't realize this at first! There are little booklets included with each toy...read them, lol, it helps! Anyhow, before we figured out the whistle, we actually found that if you blew into it very softly and placed your finger the hole on it's head and moved it quickly, you could make a pretty neat sound.

Also, the Jungle Jam is not a stool. Nolyn, of course, thought it was the perfect stool no matter how many times we told him it was not. This has lead to the drum part of the lid to be caved in and isn't so great as a drum.... but it is still a great tambourine!  Everything else has held up through the wear and tear of 5 boys... even the hand drum which I thought would be toast the first day!

Jungle Jam can be purchased at onestepahead.com where it is currently priced at $49.95.
