The Vintage Pearl- Review and Giveaway! CLOSED

When Erin Edwards started selling jewelry online in 2007 she thought it was just her creative outlet while being a stay at home mom to her four little ones. She had taught herself how to create jewelry by reading books, magazines, and searching online resources. To her surprise, the business took off! The holiday season of 2008 was busy, so busy that she enlisted a friend to help with the packaging. The business only grew from there. In late 2010, The Vintage Pearl outgrew the small studio it was in and opened up shop.

I was delighted to review for The Vintage Pearl. I have wanted a piece of personalized jewelry for a long time, but I knew I would be having more children so I put it off. I decided to take the plunge and I chose a personalized piece from The Vintage Pearl.... something that I felt was just perfect for me (you'll see why in a minute).

I was SO excited when the package arrived! The box was even gorgeous!

Okay...here it is:

It is a Layered Mama's Nest necklace! I told you it was perfect! 

The Vintage Pearl personalized the necklace with six wonderful eggs in my nest, and they were able to fit all six names of my wonderful children on the bottom plate!

This necklace is very affordable at only $55! I couldn't believe the wonderful value! 

The necklace is so nice to wear, it is light so you barely notice it is there. The necklace is sterling silver, so it does require some care, but it came with a polishing cloth to keep it nice and bright.

I did notice some scratches on the bottom piece, under the top. When I contacted The Vintage Pearl about it they suggested I use the cleaning cloth, which I did. The scratches didn't come out all the way but the cloth did help. They offered to replace the necklace, but I didn't feel that was necessary since the scratches are hidden by the top plate anyhow. I was happy with the option of having it fixed; GREAT customer care!

Since most of the items from The Vintage Pearl are personalized, it does take about 2-3 weeks for your order to be made. Of course, during peak holiday periods the wait could be longer...but there is always the option of choosing one of their wonderful ready to ship products which will ship out within 3 days!

Overall, I think The Vintage Pearl creates affordable, gorgeous jewelry that can be treasured.
