Arts & Crafts – Create your Own Roman Blinds.
Roman Blinds can be developed as a homemade craft and a fantastic way to engage children with your DIY around
the house. The Interior Direct blinds
also add a significant vibrancy to the house and can be adapted to elegantly complement existing styles and designs.
When
interacting with your children ensure to let them play using the
measuring ruler and Velcro tasks as educational
and engaging ways to contribute to the blinds creation. However it is
best to keep the glue well out of reach! One such incident could hamper
the creation of the blind.
Roman Blinds are highly fashionable attractive options for your home and are fairly easy to create as well as
being a good economical option.
Here is the Guide.

Make Your Blind
Step 1. Take the piece of wood, cut it the window frame, and mount using the material appropriate to the wall.
Step 2. Select your fabric, it should not be too thin and will hopefully resemble a good quality linen material. Measure and cut to the windows dimension.
Step 3. Pin two pieces of same sized fabric together and sew around them 10mm from the edge.
Step 4.Carefully Iron the Fabric and lay the Velcro across the fabric.
Step 5. To turn into a Roman Blind mark the horizontal lines where the pleats will fall and glue on the pleats.
Step 6. After the Glue dries sew plastic lops onto the vertical lines.
Step 7. Thread the cords across the loops and attach a screw bolt to both points, this allows you to attach the shade to the wood. After being attached pull the cords through the bolts and then lift and lower the blinds to ensure the fabric is correctly folded at the right angle.
Your Roman Blind should be complete!
